I joined this circular walk with my local Club today and enjoyed a grand day out in the countryside around Bollington. It was a reasonably strong day considering that there was an absence of major climbs, but this was compensated for by the usual countryside undulations, the underfoot conditions, which were seasonably muddy, and the mileage, wchich turned out to be 11.5 instead of the published 10. Hey-Ho we all survived.
There was none of the wet stuff today, for a change, but there were none of the forecasted sunny intervals either, with the low lying mist taking an age to disperse, particullarly on the higher ground around Bowstonegate and Sponds Hill. The absence of the big yellow ball was however more than compensated for by lots of chat, laughs and all round good fun. So, overall a good day in the boots spent with good people, with hopefully more of the same to come as we head into Winter.
